Evelyn: A New North Austin Neighborhood From the $400s

Evelyn is a brand-new community at Cameron Road and Parmer Lane in Northeast Austin, on the Tech Ridge corridor, where Trophy Signature Homes and Century Communities build side by side. As of July 2026, homes ran from around $400,000 to the mid $500s. I think it's one of the most compelling new-construction neighborhoods at this price range in North Austin.

Where Evelyn is

Evelyn is right off Cameron Road at the Parmer Lane intersection in Northeast Austin, right off Tech Ridge. It's next door to Cameron Place.

When I filmed my first look in July 2026, they hadn't even finished the sign, and there were almost no completed homes. So this is early. What you're buying into right now is mostly the location and the plan.

Commute and what's nearby

The location is the big selling point:

  • Samsung's original plant is nearby (their second one is now in Hutto), along with General Motors and Apple down Parmer.
  • Domain employers like Indeed and eBay are less than a 10-minute commute, and the Domain itself is about 15 minutes.
  • Downtown is 15 minutes or less on a Sunday morning. With traffic, budget about 30.

For everyday life, The Pitch, PopStroke and H-E-B are close, and more is opening toward Manor, like a Home Depot.

The road through here is Braker Lane, and there are future plans to extend it. That would take you all the way to I-35, which would make commuting even easier.

Amenities

Evelyn is planned to have a really cool amenity center with a pool, sports courts and trails throughout. As of July 2026, those were still renders, not built yet.

That's the biggest difference from Cameron Place next door, which has no amenity center.

Homes and builders

Two builders are here: Trophy Signature Homes and Century Communities. Both are building their higher-end product. This is the only neighborhood where those two build side by side, so you have more to compare in one place.

As of July 2026, homes ranged from around $400,000 up to the mid $500s, and from around 1,500 sq ft to well above 2,500 sq ft. You're getting just a little bit nicer house than some of the other competitors around this area. There's not that much new construction out here, and certainly not within this price range.

Tax rate and HOA

As of July 2026, the property tax rate was 2.4%. Tax rates change every year. That's mid-range for the area: a little lower than Manor to the east, and a little higher than places like Pioneer Hill. Cameron Place next door was 2.2% in July 2026.

I didn't quote an exact HOA amount in my first look, but I think the HOA is actually really inexpensive considering the amenities you're going to get. Ask for the current amount before you commit.

Who Evelyn fits

Evelyn fits people who work at Samsung, Apple, GM, Tech Ridge or the Domain and want new construction with a pool and courts in the neighborhood, at a price that's hard to find this close in.

The trade-off is timing. It's very early, the amenity center isn't built yet, and there wasn't much finished to walk through when I filmed. If you're comfortable buying early, that can be an advantage.

When I work for you, you get me. I show the homes, I negotiate and I'm the one who answers your call. You're never handed off to a teammate you didn't choose.

My honest take
I think Evelyn is one of the most compelling new-construction neighborhoods at this price range in North Austin. The location, two higher-end builders to compare, an amenity center on the way and a reasonable HOA: all of those reasons are why I think it's worth considering. Just go in knowing it's early.
