What Mueller is

Mueller is built on the property of Austin's old airport, from before we moved out to Bergstrom. Today it's a master-planned community in East Austin of homes, retail and a huge parks system.

Life in Mueller

There's a huge emphasis on community here. You can't go out in the morning without seeing people out for a jog, walking the dog and kids playing in the parks. There are lots of walking trails and parks.

It's got the benefits of a suburban neighborhood, but you can walk to restaurants. There's also a large retail development and a movie theater.

Homes in Mueller

There's literally something here for everybody: homes for every budget and size, including some with garage apartments.

In my video, I toured a home by Muskin Company, a green, sustainable Austin-area builder, while scouting for a relocating client. It was 3 bedrooms and just over 2,200 sq ft. Muskin is all about efficiency. The metal roof acts as a thermal barrier, and there's a huge emphasis on natural light to cut down on artificial lighting.

Be ready to move fast. Almost everything that goes up for sale here is gone quickly.

Who Mueller fits

Mueller fits people who want parks, trails and walkable restaurants in a close-in master-planned neighborhood. The main trade-off is competition: good homes go fast. When I work for you, you get me. My honest take

Mueller is one of the hottest neighborhoods in Austin for a reason. You get a real community, with people out on the trails every morning, and you can still walk to dinner.
