Location and walkability
The Depot Townhomes sit in the center of historic Round Rock, and just about everything is within a four-block radius:
- Lamppost Coffee, one block away
- The new Round Rock Public Library, two blocks away
- Historic Main Street restaurants and live music, including 600 Degrees Pizza
- Walking trails and a dog park
You can even see the Round Rock water tower from here. You get that urban, walkable feel in a low-maintenance, lock-and-leave home.
The builder and finishes
In Town Builders has been building for 40 years, and the quality shows. It's a level up from a lot of the construction you see around this area.
What stood out on my tour:
- 12-foot ceilings in the living areas
- Huge windows and lots of natural light
- Nice built-in appliances
- Custom woodwork details
Floor plans and sizes
There will be 82 units in total, from about 1,440 to about 2,700 square feet.
- The model: a mid-size three-bedroom corner unit. From the primary suite you look out toward the library.
- Four-bedroom plans: some include a fourth-story loft. On the sunset side, that's usable space with downtown views.
- The smallest end units: still have two-car garages. It's the smaller unit, but it's not any less impressive than the others.
An elevator will be an option on some floor plans. It won't be common in this complex, so if that matters to you, reach out sooner rather than later.
Prices
As of May 2024, prices started in the $440s and went up to about the $700s, depending on the spec and size. Pricing has likely moved since then, so ask for the current numbers.
Who it fits: pros and cons
The Depot Townhomes fit people who want to walk to coffee, dinner and the library, and who like the idea of locking the door and leaving for a trip without worrying about a yard.
Pros
- Truly walkable, in the center of historic Round Rock
- A builder with 40 years of experience and above-average finishes
- 12-foot ceilings and lots of light
- Plans from about 1,440 to about 2,700 square feet

Trade-offs
- Multi-story living, up to four levels on some plans

- Townhome living means little or no yard
The only similar product I know of nearby is a small group of about eight townhomes off the Georgetown square.

Selling in Depot Townhomes
My listing plan: a custom video tour, sunset photography, staging for vacant homes at my cost, and a launch straight to agents.
